Armstrong Cabinet Products has an opening for a Driver in our cabinets warehouse in Harrisburg, PA.

The Driver will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport and deliver products and/or materials, usually over long distances. Will also be responsible for delivery/driver logs, and maintenance of vehicles according to I.C.C. regulations. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

In our warehouse, we celebrate safety as our most important work standard. We are looking for people who are flexible, who show initiative, and who are interested in learning new things. In general, this position performs the following tasks.

* Load cabinets, counter tops, marble counter tops, and miscellaneous materials from warehouse to truck.
* Deliver cabinet units to job site and unload into units. Some job sites will be apartments involving carrying units up flights of stairs to get to units. Cabinet weights vary from approximately 5 pounds up to 175 pounds (for a two person lift).
* When not delivering, driver will be responsible to help unload semi-truck trailers and stack in appropriate locations in warehouse. Stacks may be as high as 8 ft.

Qualifications

* High school degree/GED equivalency, or equivalent work experience.
* Must possess an active Commercial Driver's License (preference for Class A-CDL)
* A minimum of 1 to 3 years of warehouse experience.
* A minimum of 1 to 3 years operating a commerical vehicle.
* Ability to read a map and follow directions. Geographic sense of delivery territory/region.
* A work record of solid contributions including good attendance, being a team player, and safety focus.

In addition, overnight travel and overtime may be required depending on warehouse locations.
