The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Regional Food Sourcer (PA) to join our Product Sourcing Team. The Regional Food Sourcer will secure product donations from food manufacturers within a geographic area (Pennsylvania) in conjunction and collaboration with local Feeding America member food banks. Sourcing will include cold calling and arranged sales appointments. Poundage goal will be assigned annually. Potential bonus and retention are dependent upon securing the poundage.

In this role you will:

* Research and identify opportunities from local food manufacturers with each Feeding America member and prioritize lapsed donors and prospective donors.
* Daily solicitation of prospects and lapsed donors in conjunction with member staff.
* Weekly reporting of results to national office and food banks in geographic area.
* Share best practices materials and training with member staff where needed.
* Facilitate regional collaboration for food sourcing staff.
* Ensure that each food bank assists in tracking results.

Requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

* BA/BS with 5 plus years experience in food and grocery procurement, sales or marketing;
* Food banking or other non-profit hunger relief experience strongly preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* A deep commitment to the mission of Feeding America.
