Armstrong Cabinet Products is currently seeking a qualified and dependable Transportation Clerk/Scheduler in our Harrisburg, PA distribution center. Under the guidance of the Distribution Manager, this individual will process and receive orders for shipment to all types of customers. They will also be responsible for the scheduling, routing and dispatch of delivery vehicles to our customers. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are a positive, energetic person with a commitment to providing excellent customer service, then this may be the right opportunity for you!

Key job responsibilities include:

* Answer customer inquiries about open orders
* Solicit material orders for shipment to customers
* Accept, process, track and monitor customer orders received by phone, fax or hand delivery
* Work with Distribution Manager and Distribution Supervisor to monitor and manage drivers/equipment and implement customer plans, routes, schedules, and to deliver freight
* Work with customer service to schedule delivery of customer orders
* Monitor distributor purchase orders and combine for shipment via UPS, less than truckload (LTL) or full truckload shipments
* Work closely with warehouse/shipping and other departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of orders
* Help resolve customer problems or complaints related to the scheduling of shipments

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess:

* High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
* A minimum of 2 years experience recommended in the cabinetry or building materials industry is preferred
* A minimum of 2 years experience working in transportation
* Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Software
* Excellent communications skills
* The ability to multi-task
* The ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
* A positive attitude
* Professional demeanor
